Bilaterally symmetrical animals
SUPERORDER: Euarchontoglires
The euarchontoglires are closely related to the laurasiatheria and this has been based on DNA analysis.
Euarchontoglires contains animals such as rabbits, rodents and primates.
It is thought that the euarchontoglires came into existance around 85 to 95 million years ago.
Euarchontoglires can be split into two groups. Those two orders are the glires and the euarchonta.
It is supposed that the glires, which are rodents, rabbits and hares are most closely linked to each other by DNA and physical similarities that the euarchonta.
Euarchonta is the group of animals which has been created in support of the fact that treeshrews and flying lemurs are more closely related to primates than other euarchontoglires.
Humans are euarchonoglires.
